'Ararinha-azul, the Spix’s Macaw –
Return from Extinction'

The last remaining wild Spix’s Macaw disappeared in the early 2000s. Eight Spix’s Macaws were released back into the wild on 11th June 2022. Sam travelled
to Brazil to witness this momentous occasion –
the de-extinction of Spix’s Macaw.

Please Note

Council have advised that the Ermington Community Centre is to be refurbished.

For our JUNE, JULY and AUGUST meetings we will continue to meet in the big hall at the Ermington Community Centre.

For our SEPTEMBER meeting our booking has been transferred to the Burnside Gardens Community Centre (off Pennant Hills Road in Parramatta opposite the Kings School) for the duration of the refurbishment.
